Lando Norris drops a hat trick. After Melbourne and Monte Carlo, the British driver has also conquered the Austrian Grand Prix at Spielberg, signing his third victory of the season (the seventh in his career) and leading a McLaren one-two announced as early as free practice and confirmed by pole position. Oscar Piastri closed in second place after trying in the early stages to undermine his teammate. In the distance, however, Norris proved to be uncatchable. Piastri also took a big risk by finishing with all four wheels on the grass due to a misunderstanding with Franco Colapinto (penalized five seconds). Despite the second place, the Australian remains the World Championship leader with 216 points, fifteen more than Norris (201). On the lowest step of the podium went Charles Leclerc, author of a solid race that was anything but easy. Fourth place for Lewis Hamilton, who now prepares to ignite the home fans at Silverstone. Thanks to the podium, Ferrari has regained second place in the Constructors' Championship. In contrast, a difficult day for George Russell, who was only fifth with the only Mercedes at the finish line (after last year's success). However, Max Verstappen's exit allows Russell to get closer: now the Dutchman has only a nine-point lead (155 to 146). Leclerc has consolidated fifth position in the overall standings (119 points), while, at 91, Hamilton remains sixth.
