Argentario celebrates French Adrien Saddier, who wins the 2025 Italian Open of golf, finishing at -14 and overtaking compatriot Martin Couvra, second at -12. For the 33-year-old from Annemasse (Haute Savoie), in his 200th round on the European Tour, it was the first career success, achieved thanks to a flawless performance from a technical and tactical point of view. At one point there were even three Frenchmen in the lead, but Sordet then stopped at -8. Excellent performance for the Italians: Francesco Laporta and Jacopo Vecchi Fossa closed in 10th place at -7, with Vecchi Fossa in particular the author of an excellent comeback. The fourth and decisive round took place in prohibitive conditions: at 12 noon the thermometer read 36 degrees, rising to 39 in the afternoon, with the Mediterranean scrubland and spectators put to the test by the scorching heat and wind. The decisive challenge was ignited immediately: Couvra, who started with a one-shot lead over Eugenio Cacharra and Saddier, battled hole after hole with the Spaniard, initially taking the lead. But in the end it was Saddier who came out on top, taking advantage of his opponents' small mistakes to sign a triumph that will go down in history.
