Filiera Madeo, a Calabrian agri-food group, will attend the Fancy Food Show in New York for the first time, showcasing its 'Nduja Nobile for the US market, an innovative and high-quality version of the renowned spreadable Calabrian salami. Filiera Madeo's participation in the US exhibition also marks a historic milestone, as it is the first Calabrian enterprise to officially export 'nduja to the US. Originally a poor product, 'nduja is now a gastronomic symbol of the Southern Italian tradition, produced from the less noble parts of the pig and flavored with the distinctive Calabrian red chili pepper. With an artisanal technique that includes filling in natural casing, hand tying, and extended aging, 'nduja Madeo is distinguished by its quality, authenticity, and respect for its roots. Madeo began as a small pig farm in the hills of Greek Sila region 40 years ago and has since grown to become one of Calabria's leading industrial companies, known in Italy and abroad (it exports to over 25 countries worldwide) for producing high-quality cured meats through an organized system of 100% local and integrated supply chains. Today, the company has a turnover of almost 30 million euros and over 150 direct employees and partners.
