It is another record year for the Italian industry of automatic packaging and wrapping machinery, which in 2024 surpassed the €10 billion revenue mark for the first time in its history. The overall turnover was 10.06 billion, up 9% from the previous year. Sales abroad reached 8 billion euros, accounting for 79.4% of total revenue, representing a double-digit increase over the previous year (+10%). The increase in exports strengthens the position of Made in Italy in worldwide markets, where Italian technology continues to be appreciated for its dependability, adaptability, and innovation. The top destination list remains unchanged: the European Union remains the primary market for Italian packaging technologies, accounting for 2.9 billion euros in revenue and 35.8% of total exports. Asia remains in second place, with a turnover of 1.6 billion (20.2%), followed by North America with 1.3 billion (16.6%).
