Every year the Sole 24 Ore paper publishes its ranking of Italy's most liked local administrators, and in first place for the first time is a mayor from Fratelli d'Italia, Marco Fioravanti, in his second term in Ascoli Piceno: last year he was reelected in the first round with 73.9% of the vote. Among regional presidents, however, Massimiliano Fedriga from Lega, who is both President of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Conference of Regions, is confirmed in first place, followed by Luca Zaia in Veneto, also of Lega. The rankings are compiled from a survey conducted the first twenty days of June among a sample of 1,000 voters in each region and 600 in each provincial capital city, with the composition varying by gender, age and area of residence. Among mayors, after Fioravanti, in second place is Michele Guerra, center-left mayor of Parma and last year's winner of the same ranking. Three other center-left mayors follow: tied for third place are Vito Leccese, elected last year in Bari, and Naples mayor Gaetano Manfredi, who was second in 2024, followed by Mattia Palazzi of Mantua, elected in 2020. In the last two places are Giacomo Tranchida, mayor of Trapani from the PD, and Palermo ayor Roberto Lagalla, supported by a center-right council.
