Ferrero scores another success in the international market: the historic Alba-based multinational, known for Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, and Kinder, has announced the acquisition of WK Kellogg, the classic American morning cereal manufacturer. The transaction is valued at around $3.1 billion, with a cash offer of $23 per share. The deal is part of the group's worldwide expansion strategy led by Giovanni Ferrero and intends to boost the Piedmont-based company’s presence in the North American market while expanding its morning product line. WK Kellogg is an icon of the American food industry: the famous corn flakes, created in 1894 from an intuition by Will Keith Kellogg, revolutionized the way people around the world eat breakfast. "I am thrilled to welcome WK Kellogg to our group", remarked Giovanni Ferrero. "This merger brings together two well-established organizations with millions of devoted customers. In North America, we have already blended local and global brands: this is another important step forward".
