Born in 1955, Bottonificio Lenzi turns 70 and proposes a new way of producing buttons. At its base is Le.Biolait, an eco-friendly material made with a natural protein obtained from the recovery of milk waste and therefore completely recyclable and free of toxic substances. Le.Biolait, debuting with the fall/winter 2026-27 collection, “is not just a button but a patented material destined to mark a turning point in the universe of sustainable accessories,” Luca Lenzi, CEO and owner - along with his brother Davide - of the Bologna-based textile-fashion buttons and accessories company, told Pambianconews. "We had been working on this material for some time, but although we were quickly able to create something satisfactory in terms of sustainability, initially it was not satisfactory in terms of aesthetic performance. Instead, we now have in our hands a product whose aesthetics can compete even in the luxury field," explained Lenzi, representative of the second generation of the founding family. He continued, “Each button is a unique piece, an expression of authenticity that comes from renewable materials and a state-of-the-art manufacturing process”. The company ended 2024 with a turnover of 25 million euros and is confident of putting a +10% increase in revenues in the current year.
