Enel Foundation strengthens its role as a research and training hub in the energy sector and focuses on Africa. Initiatives include management courses on energy transition and renewable sources, activated in Morocco in collaboration with the RES4Africa Foundation and Mohammed VI University, which have already registered more than 1,000 participants, and the opening of two new training centers in Kenya and South Africa. The wAtt-Boost project, which aims to support the development of African entrepreneurship in the renewable energy sector by accompanying the growth of local startups in the field of energy transition, is also particularly relevant in this framework. Most of the projects aim to establish a research and training ecosystem to create a future African ruling class capable of successfully addressing the challenges of the energy sector. In addition, also in the context of “just transition” and the world of work, the foundation will address the issue of the skills needed for the transition, including taking up the challenges posed by the development of Artificial Intelligence.
