Giuseppe De Masi, a Calabrian entrepreneur who symbolized the fight against the 'Ndrangheta, has died at the age of 92. He had been ill for some time. For his denunciations and for always refusing to pay a bribe, he was the victim of numerous attacks and intimidation and lived long periods of his life under escort. He was the father of Antonino De Masi, also an anti-Mafia entrepreneur protected by law enforcement, as was the rest of his family. De Masi leaves behind four children, Michele, Sara, Caterina and Graziella, and his wife Lina. A visionary entrepreneur, between the 1950s and 1960s he transformed a small workshop into a company building agricultural machinery that was exported all over the world.
