Called “Sharing for Caring” is an innovative project by Aisa Artificial Intelligence Driving Autonomous of the Milan Polytechnic University designed for the elderly and disabled. The initiative leverages autonomous driving technology to offer a low-speed shuttle service dedicated to people with frailty, promoting the autonomy, inclusion and quality of life of those who often face obstacles in their daily commute and ensuring effective travel in urban settings where the public transportation network is limited. “Sharing for Caring” was created with this specific goal in mind: to use autonomous driving to connect the homes of the elderly or people with reduced mobility to pharmacies, medical clinics, supermarkets, and churches.
