Many Italian public collections hold a large number of works of art created in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific countries. Many of these collections, which have arrived in Italy since the 15th century, can be found in little-known or under-resourced museums and which today, thanks to an agreement between Italian museums involved in the conservation and valorization of collections from the world, can count on a network of specialists. The new network, created precisely with the aim of promoting dialogue, sharing of best practices and transparency in the management and care of this heritage, aims to be a point of reference for directors, curators, conservators and archivists of State, municipal, university, missionary and private institutions. The board of directors is composed of Marina Pugliese (Director of Mudec), Davide Quadrio (Director of MAO-Museo d'Arte Orientale, Turin), Andrea Viliani (Director of MUCIV-Museo delle Civiltà, Rome), Enrico Colle (Director of Stibbert Museum, Florence), Father Enzo Oliviero Verzeletti (Director of Museo d'Arte Cinese ed Etnografico dei Missionari Saveriani, Parma).
