"I am pleased to announce that we have achieved additional record growth as we persist in the direction we have established with our strategic plan. The year is going extremely well, with data indicating a strong position in all areas, highlighted by unparalleled revenue and profitability increases in the first half of the year". This was stated by Matteo Del Fante, CEO of Poste Italiane, in response to the financial results for the first half of 2025 approved by the group's Board of Directors. "In the first six months of this year, we reported record consolidated revenues of €6.5 billion, up 5% year on year. Adjusted Operating Profit (EBIT) rose by 12% to €1.7 billion, while net profit reached €1.2 billion, up 14%. This is the best first half since our IPO in 2015", he remarked. "The Mail, Parcels, and Distribution segment generated €1.9 billion in revenue, boosted by strong parcel volumes and effective mail repricing. Financial Services increased third-party revenues by 6% in the first half of the year, reaching €2.8 billion, boosted by a record-high quarterly Net Interest Income (NII) and strong commercial performance. Insurance Services reported solid profitability in both the Life and Pension Investments and Protection sectors, with half-year revenues of €0.9 billion".
