Walking to start again. This is the gamble of the territories of Central Italy affected by the 2016 earthquake, which are now strongly focusing on slow tourism as a lever for economic, social and cultural revival. From the adoption of this strategy comes the guidebook "The Paths of Rebirth. Hidden treasures in the central Apennines" presented at Palazzo Chigi. The nine paths recounted in the book (Franciscan Way of the Marches, Via Lauretana, Capuchin Way, Way in the Mutated Lands, Way of St. Joseph of Leonessa, Way of St. Benedict, Way of Francis, Natural Way of the Parks, Way of the Mountains and Saints) included among the four regions of the earthquake (Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche and Umbria) are paths capable of rebuilding not only physical places, but also communities and identities. To be known and traversed at a slow pace, to encounter the nature, history, legends, art, and spirituality that have given birth to a unique heritage.
