APSA (Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See) reports a net profit of €62.2 million for 2024, up more than €16 million from the previous year. Of this, Pope Leo receives €46 million for contributions to the Roman Curia and the Church’s mission, while €9 million is owed to the State in taxes. APSA is in charge of handling the Holy See's financial assets. Founded in 1967 by Paul VI, it manages real estate and personal property, supervises financial assets, and oversees the papal representatives' treasury and accounting. Its principal responsibility is to provide the resources required for the operation of the Roman Curia, the Pope's assistance, and the Church's activities. APSA oversees 4,234 properties in Italy, with 92% of them located in the province of Rome. Additionally, it operates 1,200 properties in London, Paris, Geneva, and Lausanne, and has a number of companies throughout Italy.
