Everyone at home, 12:30 a.m. In order to curb the invasion of scooters and electric vehicles but above all vandalism, fights and shouting, the mayor of Praia a Mare (Cosenza) has decided that minors under 14 will have to stay at home from 12:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. The measure comes as a response to incidents of violence. “It seems that for some the fun has become assaulting other kids or damaging beach facilities,” denounces the Mayor. Who says he is ready to lift the measure “if families do their duty”. The measure will remain in effect until September 30, and for violators there are fines of 100 euros for unaccompanied minors and 250 euros for carers who do not control the actions of minors under their responsibility. The measure has stirred some controversy but, the mayor assures, "I have received very strong signals from the population, 99% are in favor, 1% called me a fascist. Well, too bad."
