Undisciplined, disrespectful of the rules and the capital's heritage: there are 3 thousand fines against tourists recorded by Rome's local police for bathing in fountains and bivouacs. A negative record with an average of 500 per month that, compared to the same period last year, marks a 50% increase in infractions. Of these about 400 for behavior contrary to the rules for the preservation of monuments and the decorum of public places. Many tourists - mostly foreigners - have been caught lying down or, in some cases, climbing on statues and historical relics. Others attempted to turn stones from the Colosseum or other archaeological relics into souvenirs.
