The inaugural edition of ‘Italian Fashion Days in the World’ will start on Sunday, August 3rd. The initiative was launched in January by Antonio Tajani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as part of the growth diplomacy strategy, in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the leading fashion trade organizations. The traveling format intends to promote Italian manufacturing globally and help the internationalization of firms in the sector, which includes over 62,000 companies and over 500,000 jobs, through the coordinated action of the ‘Sistema Italia’. The project is being carried out in conjunction with the MAECI-ITA lead generation communications campaign "Opportunitaly", an export acceleration program designed to generate new business contacts in target markets. The initiative is the result of the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in Rome in January with ANFAO, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, Confapi Uniontessile, Confartigianato Moda, Confartigianato Orafi, CNA Federmoda, CNA Orafi, Confindustria Accessori Moda, Confindustria FEDERORAFI, Confindustria Moda – Federazione Tessile e Moda, and Altagamma. The first stage will be held at the Italian Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025, with the exhibition ‘Italia è Moda’, curated by Clara Tosi Pamphili and organized by the Consulate General of Italy, the Expo Commissioner's Office, and the Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with the Farnesina's Directorate General for the Promotion of the Country System. The next stages of the 2025 Italian Fashion Days in the World will be held in Dubai in early September, Brazil in mid-October with events in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte, and India at the end of October with events in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.
