The 15th issue of Italea Magazine dedicated to Roots Tourism came out yesterday. The monthly magazine - part of the Farnesina project included in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan - is available free of charge digitally in Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese, and collects examples of root travel, with useful tips, and urges different types of travelers to plan their own “return” to the places of the heart. In this new issue, proposed itineraries to Cividale del Friuli in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Ricadi in Calabria and Bobbio in Emilia Romagna. Featured are the national premiere of two Radici in viaggio works: the immersive installation “S'amuJamu” and the docufilm “Verbo andare”. Then Italea's participation in the ceremony of the Accademia Marchigiani Award in Italy and the World and a report on the “Radici in Eleganza” event in Atina, Lazio, to pay homage to Italian style and roots. Moreover, the presentation of Welcome Home in Sannio, which from August 6 to 8 will see Guardia Sanframondi host a series of events supported by Italea. Plus an interview with Simona Salis, a Sardinian-born singer-songwriter who in her latest album mixes Campidanese Sardinian dialect with English, French and Spanish to celebrate identity and travel. Then the first “speaking” plaque of the Civic Roots project, hosted by Sestri Levante, and the presentation of “Sconfinamenti”, the collection of short stories resulting from the Italy Roots in the World Award, promoted by Maeci and linked to the John Fante Festival. Finally, a selection of experiences throughout Italy for root tourists: from the secrets of medicinal plants in Aosta to those of stone working in Puglia.
