"Dearest young people, our hope is Jesus. He is the one who, as Saint John Paul II used to say, 'inspires in you the desire to do something great with your lives [...] to improve yourselves and society, making it more human and fraternal'. Let us remain united to Him and in His friendship at all times, nurturing it through prayer, adoration, Eucharistic Communion, frequent confession, and abundant charity, as Blessed Piergiorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis, who will soon be declared Saints, taught us. Aspire to great things, to holiness, wherever you are. Don't settle for less. Then you will watch the light of the Gospel grow every day, both within and around you". Thus said Pope Leo XIV in his homily delivered yesterday during the concluding Mass of the Youth Jubilee at Tor Vergata, in Rome, before a million young people from around the world. “I entrust you to Mary, the Virgin of Hope,” the Pontiff continued. "With her assistance, as you return to your nations in the coming days, around the world, continue to walk cheerfully in the footsteps of the Savior, inspiring everyone you meet with your enthusiasm and testimony to your faith. Have a good journey". The Youth Jubilee was concluded with a Mass presided over by Pope Leo XIV in Tor Vergata. Celebrating alongside the Pope were twenty cardinals, 450 bishops, and 7,000 priests.
