Italy can be less pessimistic than others about the duty effect thanks to the quality and variety of its products. This was said yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at the Stati Generali del Mezzogiorno, organized by the party of which he is a member, namely Forza Italia. “Despite the tariffs, Italian products of great quality in the United States are willing to pay even a few dollars more,” he said, speaking in Villa San Giovanni. "We must treasure this Italian quality because it will allow us to have less negative repercussions on exports”. He added, “I'm less pessimistic also because in any case we have lower duties than other countries and Italian products will be able to occupy the spaces of others. After China we are the country with the greatest variety of goods: we have so many different products to export that we can occupy, with careful direction, much more important market spaces than we occupy today, despite the difficulties in America and Germany, due to the car crisis”. The Deputy Prime Minister also spoke about the situation in Gaza: “We are in favor of the creation of a Palestinian state because it is right, but first it has to be built, and without peace it cannot be built,” he said, "We don't just make political statements, which is very easy”.
