A meeting dedicated to the future of the Italian wine supply chain was held yesterday at Palazzo Chigi, with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida. Representatives of the sector and members of the government attended. During the meeting, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stressed the importance of the agrifood sector, reiterating the executive's attention to the agricultural world and in particular to wine production. “Wine is a central element of the Mediterranean diet,” she said, "and it is essential to distinguish between use and abuse. The issue of tariffs and trade negotiations between the European Union and the United States was also addressed during the meeting. The Prime Minister recalled the government's “constant commitment to the protection of Italian excellence”, reiterating its intention to defend our products from penalizing measures at the international level.
