LaMilanesa was a social project that was established five years ago. Its objective was to assist women who had been victims of violence in acquiring a profession and achieving independence by producing handbags. Today, LaMilanesa is not only a symbol of female empowerment but also a well-established brand in the fashion industry, capable of shaping and frequently anticipating trends. Currently, the artisanal company established by Cinzia Macchi sells 10,000 handbags annually and is in the process of making significant growth. A significant milestone was achieved during Italy's 70th anniversary celebration at the United Nations, where a LaMilanesa handbag, a symbol of peace and inclusion, was selected to celebrate the occasion. Now, business and social responsibility coexist in harmony, now with a more structured brand approach. "We have 15 agents in Italy and abroad", Cinzia Macchi discloses. "Our creative and management base is in Milan, we have our Factory Outlet in Bologna, and we are present in 249 boutiques". LaMilanesa's pulsating heart is in Milan, with eight staff and a workshop where unique bags are manufactured. Like the ones for summer 2026, made of terry cloth, bamboo fiber, and a silky effect, which fashion experts predict will become an instant hit.
