Rome and Milan are competing to host the two Italian dates of Oasis' 2026 tour. At first, the San Siro Stadium or the racecourse in the Lombard metropolis were considered as possible venues to host the newly reunited Gallagher brothers’ concerts. Nevertheless, Rome recently declared its own candidacy. Alessandro Onorato, the capital's councilor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism, and Fashion, has disclosed that negotiations are currently ongoing to secure the participation of the two Britpop artists at the Circus Maximus. The final choice is, of course, up to the Gallagher brothers' Italian promoter. Oasis are expected to return to continental Europe in 2026, following 17 shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland this year, those in Canada, the United States, and Mexico in August and September, those in Asia and Oceania in October, and those in South America in November.
