There is a small identity revolution hidden in the Sport decree now in the Senate: allowing the "Ferrari Hypersail", a futuristic monohull racing yacht led by Giovanni Soldini, to fly the Italian flag. Designed by Frenchman Guillaume Verdier, the 100-foot boat is a technological masterpiece set to debut in 2026. The risk? Like many racing boats, to be registered in France, where the tax and regulatory system is more favorable. To avoid this, Fratelli d'Italia has included an amendment - signed by Federico Mollicone - that introduces simplified procedures and tax relief to register prototypes like the Hypersail in Italy, even without the European CE certificate. The new rule also provides facilitated ways to bring back to Italy boats already registered abroad. A technical operation, certainly, but also a political one: the government wants the prancing horse, at sea as on the race track, to run under the tricolor.
