The Ministers’ Court has dismissed Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's case in the Almasri case, but has requested authorization to proceed for Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, and Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano. The Prime Minister herself announced the decision in a social media post, in which she called the decision "absurd”. Meloni reiterated that the government acted coherently under her leadership and disputed the judges' argument that she had not been informed of the matter in advance, deeming it "patently absurd”. "Every decision, especially one so important, was agreed upon”, she emphasized. There has been no official reaction from the Interior Ministry, but Interior Ministry sources report that Piantedosi has not yet received any formal notification.
