Politics is going on vacation. As of August 6, the halls of power have been closed for vacation, and even the most prominent figures are taking a holiday. Senators are set to return to the Chamber on September 10th, while committee work will resume on the first of next month. If there's one thing everyone agrees on this year, it's the seaside, with Sardinia among the most popular destinations. Not without exceptions, such as the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, who has chosen South Tyrol for his summer vacation in the municipality of Castelrotto, at the foot of the Dolomites, hosted in a military logistics base managed by the Alpini. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is apparently planning a brief vacation in Villasimius, on Sardinia's southeastern coast. When lawmakers return to work, they will face regional elections, which will begin in the Marche region at the end of September and will then spread to Veneto, Puglia, Calabria, Tuscany, and Valle d'Aosta.
