Tragedy in Polignano a Mare, in the Barese region of Italy. A 23-year-old boy of Sicilian origin died after diving into the sea from the cliff of Lama Monachile, a symbolic place of the Apulian town. The young man, on vacation with some friends, allegedly jumped from several meters in height but, after impact with the water, lost consciousness due to severe head trauma. Rescued by 118 personnel and rushed to Monopoli Hospital under code red, the 23-year-old died despite resuscitation attempts.
