The Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, one of Italy's longest-running classical music festivals, returns for its 76th edition, bringing Rimini's theaters and churches to life. More than forty concerts, dance performances, and conferences will be part of the 2025 schedule, which runs from summer to December, demonstrating the organization's renewed commitment to captivating and surprising audiences. A wide and varied program, which gives special space to London orchestras, sees the return of Cecilia Bartoli, presents major dance at Teatro Galli with Ballet Preljocaj, along with many special projects and several opportunities for young musicians. Three British orchestras will perform at the Teatro Galli: the Philharmonia Orchestra, the newly formed Constellation Orchestra, and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique (which, despite its name, originated in London). Following the English "trilogy", the Sagra will host Cecilia Bartoli, a world-class bel canto diva from Rimini, who will play with her Musiciens du Prince - Monaco on September 28th in a recital with orchestra. On October 10, a journey into the symphonies of Hollywood – from John to Hans Zimmer – is scheduled, with Bologna’s Orchestra Senzaspine conducted by Tommaso Ussardi. The festival concludes on December 11th with a tribute to Antonio Vivaldi and a solo performance by Jordi Savall, one of today's masters of early music.
