The Italian group Engineering has received €64 million in European funding to develop digital tools that help physicians make clinical choices and are powered by artificial intelligence. Doctors will be able to rely on personalized recommendations based on the patient's comprehensive medical and therapeutic history. Patients will benefit from personalized, more effective, and up-to-date therapy paths based on the greatest available research. Engineering, which has 14,000 employees, will engage with a network of partners, including technical SMEs, universities, hospitals, and research institutes, to develop a common language for digital medicine based on European standards, interoperability, and sustainability. Engineering's five-year project will first focus on three areas: oncology, neurological illnesses, and chronic ailments. However, the goal is broader: to create a truly digital clinical marketplace to support data-driven healthcare policies.
