Sofia Raffaeli continues to write the history of Italian rhythmic gymnastics at the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro. The champion from the Marche region won the gold medal in the hoop with 30.650 points, repeating her triumph in Sofia in 2022. Behind her were Bulgaria's Stiliana Nikolova (29.950) and Germany's Anastasia Simakova (29.400). Not content with that, Raffaeli climbed onto the podium again, this time with the bronze medal in ball. With 28.750 points, she finished behind Germany's Darja Varfolomeev, who won gold with 29.850, and the United States' Rin Keys, who won silver with 29.050. This is the Italian's second and third world medals in Rio, after the bronze she won in the All Around, confirming her place among the great protagonists of the world championships.
