A 27-year-old man from Roseto degli Abruzzi (Teramo) was found dead by his parents late Sunday evening. The young man was in front of his computer, wearing a gas mask, and he appeared to have inhaled some refrigerant gas. The 118 paramedics who came on the site were only able to confirm the dead; no traces of violence or injuries were seen on the body. Authorities are conducting an investigation to identify the cause of death. The Teramo Carabinieri confiscated the young man's cellphone, computer, and other IT devices. The body is at the Teramo hospital morgue, where the on-duty prosecutor, Di Marco, will decide whether to conduct an autopsy. At the moment, there is no tangible proof tying the occurrence to challenges on social media or streaming platforms, although this possibility has not been disregarded.
