Italian cuisine in 2024 reached a total value of 251 billion euros worldwide, a growth of +4.5%, coming to represent 19% of the global table-service restaurant market (full service restaurant) thanks to the contribution of the United States and China, which together cover more than 65% of global consumption for Italian cuisine. In the same year, the global market reached 2,916 billion euros, according to the Deloitte Foodservice Market Monitor 2025 report. Italy is thus confirmed as one of the leading global Foodservice markets, ranking sixth in overall value, fourth for Full Service Restaurants (restaurants with table service) and fifth for Quick Service Restaurants (those characterized by faster service with counter service pickup). In 2024, the sector in Italy reached 83 billion euros, marking a +2% growth.
