After Valentino, Fendi, and Hermès, thieves target Dior. During the night, a group broke into the boutique on Via Strozzi in Florence, stealing bags and items worth over €200,000. The alert was triggered about 3:00 a.m. by anti-robbery fog bombs, which raised concerns about a fire, but it was actually the security system. The thieves forced their way into the store by entering through a neighboring building on Via Sassetti. According to investigators, they knew the layout well and was probably a multi-person operation, with lookouts around Piazza della Repubblica. City surveillance cameras are currently being studied to reconstruct their movements and escape routes. A similar robbery involving €100,000 occurred in 2015 at the other Dior boutique on Via Tornabuoni.
