The 16th issue of the magazine dedicated to Roots Tourism has been published. The monthly magazine, which is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation's project for the NRRP, is available for free in digital format in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. It collects examples of roots travel, as well as helpful recommendations, and encourages all sorts of travelers to organize their "return" to their favorite destinations. This new edition includes a comprehensive examination of perspectives and trends in roots tourism, with contributions by Giovanni Maria De Vita, head of the Italea Project at MAECI, and national and regional coordinators. Then, in Venice, the presentation of the book “Antonio segreto. La forza di un uomo", by Nicola Vegro, telling the life of Anthony of Padua, the emigrant who became a saint Itineraries are also covered, including recommendations for Varallo in Piedmont, Maratea in Basilicata, and Caramanico Terme in Abruzzo. There is also a report on the "Welcome Home in Sannio" event, which focuses on roots tourism. An intriguing conversation with Claudio Diacoli, an expert who has spent over 50 years reconstructing family trees and histories. A look at the recent agreement signed between Bologna and Buenos Aires, UNESCO Creative Cities, strengthening the bond between Italy and Argentina. The Pozzetti family's narrative is a must-read. They departed Magnacavallo in the Mantua region at the end of the 19th century in pursuit of a better life and ended up in Brazil.
