A restoration effort will restore the famous Fontana del Verziere, located in the center of Milan's Piazza Fontana, to its former glory. A contribution from luxury brand Louis Vuitton - Moët Hennessy has funded the entire project. The work includes cleaning and grouting of surfaces, conservation treatments, restoration, and pavement adjustments. The fountain, dating back to 1782 and attributed to Giuseppe Piermarini, was built where until the mid-18th century the Verziere fruit and vegetable market took place.
