The United States is studying the Italian law against digital piracy. "I had a productive institutional discussion with Charles Rivkin, President of the Motion Picture Association, where I addressed the law against digital piracy, which I co-signed. The text is becoming a case study even for the U.S. audiovisual market. We also had the opportunity to discuss artificial intelligence, the protection of human creativity, and the upcoming enabling law to reform the film industry, which will soon begin its journey through Parliament in agreement with the government", explained Federico Mollicone, President of the Chamber’s Culture Committee and member of the Italy-U.S. interparliamentary group, speaking from Venice. In absolute terms, the Italian politician stated that there have been 25 million fewer acts of piracy among adults, 14 million fewer for films, 7 million fewer for series and fiction, and 2 million fewer for live sports streaming since the law was implemented.
