At the conclusion of the audience, the pontiff contemplated the regions that had been devastated by conflict. "Remember in your prayers and humanitarian projects also the children of Ukraine, Gaza, and other regions of the world affected by war", the Holy Father stated. Greeting the Arabic-speaking faithful, particularly those from the Holy Land, Leo XIV encouraged them to "transform your cry in times of trial and tribulation into a confident prayer, because God always listens to his children and responds at the moment he deems best for us.
