Pirelli and Aston Martin have inked a collaboration agreement to incorporate Pirelli's CyberTyre technology into future models of the British luxury sports car manufacturer. CyberTyre is the world's first system that can capture data and information from sensors that are directly inside the tires, process it using Pirelli's proprietary software and algorithms, and communicate in real time with the vehicle's electronics. The new technology enables the car to collect critical information via sensors mounted on the inside of the tread. This data, processed using proprietary methods, is sent to an electronic control unit that optimizes vehicle dynamics. This improves the functioning of critical electronic driving systems by providing a broad set of previously unavailable tire data. Both Aston Martin and Pirelli are dedicated to the development of ultra-luxury sporting cars with exceptional performance and the CyberTyre system represents a further technological advancement.
