Ferrari has announced a multi-year contract extension with Danish driver Nicklas Nielsen, confirming him as an official representative of the Prancing Horse in endurance racing. Nielsen, 28, has been racing in the top class of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) since 2023 at the wheel of the No. 50 Ferrari 499P, which he shares with teammates Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina. He also competes in select international series with the Ferrari 296 GT3. Nielsen’s journey with Ferrari has already yielded outstanding results. With the 499P, he claimed victory at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, marking Ferrari’s 11th triumph in the legendary endurance race. Beyond Le Mans, he also won the 1812 KM of Qatar in 2025 and secured ten podium finishes in the WEC. His career tally includes 12 victories and 23 podiums in 41 races, showcasing remarkable consistency in both prototypes and GT cars. The Danish driver also holds prestigious GT titles: winner of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe in 2018, the FIA WEC Endurance Trophy LMGTE Am in 2019–20 and 2021, the LMGTE title in the European Le Mans Series in 2019, and the GT World Challenge Europe – Endurance Cup in 2021. His record confirms both his talent and versatility, making him a key figure in Ferrari’s endurance program. “Continuing as a Ferrari factory driver is a source of immense pride and responsibility for me,” said Nielsen. “In recent years I’ve had the privilege of achieving victories I’ll never forget—especially the one at Le Mans in 2024—along with the chance to keep growing as a driver. I’m grateful to Ferrari and look forward to continuing to win races and championships together, representing the Prancing Horse.” With this renewal, Nielsen’s experience and achievements will remain central to Ferrari’s ambitions in endurance racing and select international GT series.
