The University of Ferrara is hosting the 23rd edition of the International Symposium on Microencapsulation, a global scientific conference focused on particle science and technology.
The event has drawn 170 researchers from 15 countries and 4 continents, and was officially opened on the evening of Wednesday, September 10, in the courtyard of the Estense Castle. Traditionally itinerant, the symposium has previously taken place in cities such as London, Singapore, Nagoya, Pamplona, Boston, and Salvador de Bahia. “The highlight of the scientific program is the participation of four world-renowned keynote speakers: Nicholas Peppas, University of Texas at Austin, a pioneer in drug delivery and nanotechnology; Robert Langer, MIT Boston, co-founder of Moderna and one of the most cited scientists in the world; Patrick Couvreur, Université de Paris-Saclay and member of the French Academy of Sciences; and Anthony Hickey, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an expert in inhalation pharmacology,” the organizers announced.
