On Monday, September 15, the third edition of the Summer School “Process Metaphysics” was inaugurated, an initiative organized by the University of Siegen (Germany) and hosted by the Istituto Scienza Nuova. The program stems from the collaboration between the German university and Professor Gabriele Gava of the University of Turin, further strengthening the international reach of the Turin institute led by philosopher Maurizio Ferraris.
After previous editions at Harvard University and Peking University earlier this year, the Summer School now brings to Turin scholars and students from across the globe to explore the so-called “metaphysics of process.” This perspective embraces a dynamic understanding of reality that goes beyond static frameworks, placing change, time, life, and the structure of space-time at the center of philosophical reflection.
Over three days, participants will engage with a program that combines lectures and interactive seminars, with contributions from academics affiliated with institutions such as the University of Dundee (UK), the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the Universities of Siegen, Geneva, Pisa, and Florence.
