"The threats are multiplying as we demonstrate our ability to govern this nation, but we are not afraid," Giorgia Meloni stated during her speech at Fenix, the festival of Gioventù Nazionale, the youth organization of Brothers of Italy. The prime minister exhorted the young activists not to lose momentum, adding, "I assure you that I will continue to give it my best till the end. What we hold in our hands is a historic opportunity we will not waste. We will continue to look upwards, to dream big, not to settle". Meloni then mentioned the murder of Charlie Kirk, the American conservative activist: "The hatred didn't stop with his death. We've read remarks from self-proclaimed academics who disagreed with those who argue that every human life should be respected. Ultimately, that means their life is more valuable than ours". Lastly, the Prime Minister underscored the political approach she advocates for her side: "We will never be like them. We will continue to respect individuals who disagree with us, smile, work, and use reasoning to illustrate the ridiculousness of certain theses. We shall not fear demonization, censorship, or insults".
