Genoa is hosting the 65th International Boat Show until September 23. More than 1,000 boats are on display, including 23 new shipyards and exhibitors from 45 nations around the world. The event features 123 new products and 96 premieres. The maritime industry is one of the most promising sectors of Made in Italy, with a turnover of more than 16 billion euros and an average export value of 8 billion euros over the last three years. Including all divisions (from building to refits and accessories), the Italian nautical industry is a productive enterprise of nearly 1,000 enterprises employing over 30,000 people. Italy's competitiveness is underscored by the fact that Italian manufacturers account for more than 20% of European sales.
