Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reacted harshly to the confrontations that erupted outside Milan's Central Station during the Gaza march. "The images coming from Milan are shameful: self-styled 'pro-Pal' protesters, self-styled 'anti-fascist', self-styled 'pacifists' devastating the station and clashing with law enforcement", she wrote on social media. The Prime Minister has condemned "violence and destruction that have nothing to do with solidarity" and has stated that they "will not change the lives of people in Gaza one iota, but will have concrete consequences for Italian citizens". Meloni defended law enforcement and demanded "clear condemnation from the organizers and all political forces".
