More than two years after the sporting proceedings began, the criminal phase of the Prisma trial, which involved Juventus' top management for suspected fraudulent capital gains and salary manipulation during the Covid period, has concluded. Juventus had already incurred punishment from the sporting justice system: initially, a 10-point penalty in the standings (from the initial 15) and a one-season ban from European competitions, and subsequently, a settlement with the federal prosecutor's office to settle the wage dispute. Former President Andrea Agnelli has decided to plead guilty to a one-year and eight-month suspended sentence with no civil or extra fines. In a letter, he described the decision as "painful but necessary", adding that he accepts no responsibility and seeks to conclude a legal process that began four years ago. Agnelli reaffirmed his commitment to Juventus and Turin, expressing his decision to focus his efforts on energy transition-related entrepreneurial ventures as well as his role as president of the IRCCS Candiolo - Piedmontese Foundation for Oncology.
