The Trentodoc Festival has wrapped up its fourth edition with strong numbers and enthusiasm undampened by the weather. More than 11,000 people flocked to Trento and the surrounding wineries to celebrate Italy’s premier traditional-method sparkling wine, through 168 events ranging from tastings to concerts and vineyard tours.
For Giulia Zanotelli, Trentino’s provincial agriculture councillor, the festival is not just about wine but about identity and territory: “Trentodoc is increasingly becoming an ambassador for Trentino around the world, combining quality with new perspectives for the future.”
The formula — combining wine, culture, and entertainment in collaboration with Corriere della Sera — proved a winner once again. “This has been the most engaging edition ever, with sold-out events and visitors from all over Italy,” said Luciano Ferraro, deputy editor of the paper and artistic director of the festival.
Producers also expressed satisfaction. “Trentodoc in Cantina, with 130 events across the region, saw extraordinary turnout, including many young people,” noted Stefano Fambri, president of the Trento Doc Institute.
According to Trentino Marketing, the event not only celebrated the allure of “mountain bubbles” but also highlighted the economic and cultural value of a growing sector. “Trentodoc remains one of the most authentic and brilliant images of our region,” said president Gianni Battaiola. With this year’s success, the organizers are already looking ahead to 2026, aiming to further consolidate Trentodoc’s role as a symbol of Trentino in Italy and abroad.
