Officina Stellare, a company located in Sarcedo (Vicenza) that specializes in the design and production of sophisticated optomechanical systems for the aerospace, scientific, and defense sectors, has announced the signing of an agreement with the US-based Skyloom. The American corporation, known for its multi-orbit space data transmission services and laser communication technology, will work with the Veneto-based company to build the Skyloom Europe project. The plan calls for the establishment of a new firm in Italy, completely owned by Officina Stellare, with the goal of introducing novel optical telecommunications solutions to the marketplace. To complement this project, a contemporary industrial hub will be developed in the Veneto region, near the company's Vicenza headquarters. The overall investment is anticipated to be around €12 billion, demonstrating the project's strategic and industrial significance.
