Italy’s presence at Expo 2025 in Osaka closes on a high note, marking six months of record achievements. The Italian Pavilion has become a key hub for economic diplomacy and Made in Italy promotion, hosting 791 events, including 210 focused on business, and attracting more than 7,500 representatives from Italian, Japanese, and international companies.
Over 170 B2B meetings and dozens of networking sessions took place, alongside 60 tasting events organized by Eataly, which ran the official restaurant.
The results were also financial: €1.76 billion in contracts and investments were signed or announced during the Expo. Highlights include Danieli’s €200 million contracts in Japan, Ebara Corporation’s €6 million investment in Vicenza, and NSG Group’s €80 million expansion of its high-performance furnace in Chieti.
Other major announcements came from DR Automobiles (€50 million and 300 new jobs in Molise), PROCOS S.p.A. (€150 million and 700 hires in Novara), and NTT Italia, with plans for a €1.28 billion data center near Milan.
