Carabinieri officers from the Nucleo Radiomobile have seized a luxury supercar worth €12 million at a dealership on Via dei Missaglia in Milan. The vehicle, a Pagani Zonda Tricolore, had been unlawfully appropriated in Germany. The car was a Pagani Zonda Tricolore, a unique version designed to honor the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team's 50th anniversary, and only three were produced worldwide. The theft report was filed in Germany on October 23. Italian law enforcement police arrived at the Milanese car dealership after receiving a tip from a 33-year-old Afghan man, a representative of a Nuremberg-based company, who had tracked the vehicle using its chassis number. Investigations discovered that the vehicle had been leased on a long-term basis, but the renter had stopped making payments for the past six months. The supercar was then sold to a Milanese business and kept in custody at the showroom where it was found. Investigators are looking into the case to identify potential criminal responsibility and reconstruct the chain of events that led to the sale of the prized vehicle.
