In 2024, Coca-Cola Italia, Coca-Cola HBC Italia, and Sibeg — the three companies representing the American multinational in Italy — generated and distributed a total economic value of €1.142 billion. This statistic, which comprises domestic purchases of goods and services, investments, salaries, taxes, and contributions, accounts for around 0.05% of Italy's GDP. The data comes from a two-year study performed by the SDA Bocconi School of Management, which examines Coca-Cola's socioeconomic impact in Italy, where the company has been present since 1927. The study supports the company's strategic position not only as a soft drinks market leader, but also as a vital contributor in employment and community development. The study indicates that Coca-Cola continues to be the largest employer in the soft drinks and beverage industry in Italy, with a consistent increase in employment impact that is induced, indirect, and direct. During 2024, the organization helped to create 29,840 employment, resulting in a multiplier effect throughout the supply chain, from manufacturing and distribution to suppliers and points of sale.
